Frequently asked questions
What is Polylog, in one sentence?
A subscription news publication that reads across the world's reporting and delivers it as a clear, fact-checked daily briefing. See What is Polylog?.
What briefings does Polylog publish?
Three daily editions: a free Global briefing (economics, markets, and geopolitics), and subscriber Crypto and AI briefings. On the Pro plan you can also get a personalized briefing built around your own topics. See The briefings.
How is this different from asking a chatbot for the news?
A general chatbot answers a single prompt in the moment. Polylog runs on a schedule without you prompting it, reads the world's press in its original languages, cross-checks sources, and synthesizes what actually happened. It fact-checks contested claims with veracity verdicts, remembers the storylines it is following across days, and delivers a finished briefing to your web feed, inbox, or Telegram. See How it works.
How often do briefings arrive?
The Global briefing is published each morning and refreshed in the evening. The Crypto and AI briefings are published each morning. A personalized briefing arrives at the times you choose, in your timezone, set during onboarding; the Pro plan delivers one personalized briefing a day.
How accurate are the briefings?
Briefings are grounded in live web sources, and contested claims are checked against multiple sources and labeled with a veracity verdict: corroborated, plausible, or contested. Polylog is designed to be honest about uncertainty rather than to sound confident at the expense of truth. See Sourcing and veracity.
What languages does Polylog support?
You can read your briefing in several languages, including English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, German, French, and Portuguese. Separately, Polylog sources news in the original languages of the world's press regardless of which language you read in. See Onboarding.
Can I control what is in my briefing?
Yes. You select and weight topics, add custom labels, and exclude subjects you do not want. Polylog builds an editable reader profile from those choices. See Personalization.
How do I receive my briefings?
On the web, by email, or on Telegram, in any combination you like. See Delivery channels.
What does it cost?
The Global briefing is free. A Basic subscription unlocks the Crypto and AI editions in full, and a Pro subscription adds a personalized briefing. See Plans and pricing, and the app's pricing page for current prices.
How is my data handled?
The only personal information Polylog holds about you is your email address. It is used to sign you in and to deliver your briefings. Everything else Polylog stores is information you give it to build your briefings: your chosen topics, your reader profile, and your preferences such as language, length, and schedule. That data exists for one purpose, generating your briefings. Sign-in is handled through Google, and payments are processed securely through Stripe, so Polylog never sees or stores your password or card details.
How do I cancel?
You can change or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings in the web app. Billing is managed through Stripe.
